Cartegena – our most favourite city so far! We stayed in the old part of town as per usual and spend a few days wandering the old city and running ragged trying to get the bikes serviced. Day after we arrived it rained. Now there is rain, and then there is rain. This was real rain, the city flooded and we had nothing else to do beside go get wet. Could even get a taxi anywhere as they wouldn’t leave to old part of town. It was up to our knees and locals and tourist alike were laughing as folks were taping garbage bags around their legs but there was no staying dry – bad side is there were landslides around the country and people dead. Next day it cleared up nicely and we toured the fort and found a bike shop to help us service the bikes. Saturday night we were out on the town and it is amazing how the whole town seems to be partying, got pretty smashed on Mojitos and had a hooker grab a handful of my junk and chase me down the street, Tk was oblivious walking up ahead and of no help or protection. Awoke with a sore head and packed up the bikes to his further east along the coast.
